Ever wanted to learn how to do a great massage on your friends and family without having to do a full qualification? Well, now you can. This introductory course will teach you everything you need to know to safely perform an effective routine on your friends and family. During this highly interactive and fun workshop you will learn:
A routine for massaging the back, shoulders and neck
How to perform the routine in a chair, eliminating the need for a special massage table
A range of strokes that can be used (getting away from the basic “shoulder rub”!)
How to get the right amount of pressure
The basic anatomy of the upper body
When massage should be used and when it should be avoided
This course will be run by Jill Maden. She qualified over 10 years ago and, as well as running her own practice, has assisted on, developed and taught a number of massage courses in Glasgow.
This course does not provide a qualification to practice massage at a professional level but will provide a Certificate of Completion. A full course manual and teas/coffees are also included (lunch is not provided).
